Plot
Emerging from a five-year sojourn in Mexico, Carlos, a young man of 18, returns to the sun-drenched boulevards of Los Angeles, with dreams of stardom twinkling in his eyes. His ambition is to sashay under the glamorous Hollywood spotlight as an actor. However, his aspirations are at odds with his father, Pepe's, grimy vision - a life spent peddling flesh in the grim family trade of male prostitution.
With a heavy heart, Carlos resigns himself to be one of his father's boys, viewing it as a transitory phase in his journey towards his Hollywood dreams. A glimmer of hope arrives in the form of Jennifer, a wealthy soap star who becomes one of Carlos' clients and offers him a minor role in her show.
Pepe, however, sees through the glitzy veneer, warning Carlos that Jennifer is merely exploiting him, and demands he sever ties with her. Defying his father's orders, Carlos clings onto his dream, only to be harshly awakened when he finally steps into the unforgiving realm of Hollywood, discovering a reality that is harsher than he dared to imagine.
