Orphaned Lyra lives a lonely life at Oxford College. Her uncle cares for her when not consumed with his duties as a professor, but Lyra is left to wander the college campus for hours at a time. With so much freedom, she's quickly pulled into a quest to save a parallel world, where an armored bear, a witch and a magical compass will guide her along the way, but what can one little girl do against the forces of evil?
