Soon, they are enveloped in a cocoon of shared happiness, leading them to cohabitate post-university. Yet, life's harsh realities seep in two years after graduation. Unarticulated expectations and the mundane strains of everyday life push them towards an inevitable separation. Years later, fate weaves its magic as they both carve out successful careers and find themselves living in the same neighborhood, their lives once again intertwined. Efforts to move on with new partners prove futile, and when the grim shadow of cancer claims Su's mother, it is Cheng who becomes her solace.
