Snowbeast (1977)

As winter descends upon the picturesque Rill Ski Resort in Colorado, a shroud of mystery and terror unfurls. A youthful skier is discovered lifeless, his demise not by ordinary means but by an inexplicable beast. The town’s sheriff, along with a band of naturalists, begin to suspect the hand - or rather, the claw - of a Yeti, a legend whispered in hushed tones in the cold corners of the Colorado Rockies and North Western America. As more skiers meet a grisly fate, Tony Rill, a skilled hunter and grandson of the ski resort supervisor, spies a spectral white creature disappearing into the snow-laden woods. Fear and grave concern prompt him to inform his grandmother, but the resort's survival hinges on its reputation. She casts off the creature as mere folklore, choosing to keep the resort's doors open and its secrets buried deep beneath the snow. However, as the winter carnival commences, the resort is plunged into chaos. An enormous, irate creature, akin to the mythical Bigfoot, begins to terrorize the joyous event, feasting on unsuspecting skiers. Initially dismissed as a rogue bear, the true nature of the beast becomes undeniable when Tony catches sight of the elusive white entity lurking in the woods. Despite the skepticism of his grandmother, Mrs. Carrie Rill, and the town Sheriff Paraday, the creature's audacious attack on the town itself leaves no room for doubt. The ski resort, once a haven of winter fun, transforms into a chilling battlefield as two ski champions rise to the occasion, setting off to stop the snow-beast. The struggle against the terror of the wilderness becomes a race against time, as the beast continues its rampage, and the future of Rill Ski Resort hangs in the balance.
