Snakehead Terror (2004)

In the tranquil heart of Maryland, Cultus Lake, once a serene haven, is now a silent battleground. Two years after a desperate eradication effort, the snakehead menace continues to drain the lake's fish population, rendering the once-thriving ecosystem into a lifeless water body. The town, reeling from economic hardship, hatches a plan to revive the local fishing industry - a decision that soon spirals into an unforeseen nightmare. In a misguided attempt to bolster the dwindling fish stock, potent growth hormones are released into the lake. The chemical infusion, intended as a boon, instead births a monstrous terror. The snakeheads - once mere pests - mutate into a ferocious strain of aquatic predators, their appetites amplified and their size monstrous, fuelled by the human growth hormones now coursing through their veins. Sheriff Patrick James and marine biologist Lori Dale soon find themselves caught in a race against time. The mutated snakeheads, no longer content with their aquatic kingdom, develop the ability to move on land. Leaving the barren lake behind, these monstrous creatures embark on a relentless hunt for food - be it animal, vegetable, or human. As the town teeters on the brink of annihilation, Patrick and Lori must join forces to right a disastrous wrong. Faced with the daunting task of halting the snakehead terror, the question remains: do they have what it takes to save their town from this terrifying aquatic invasion?
