Caught in the monotonous mechanics of an ordinary life, Peggy, a 21-year-old, has grown tired of her humdrum existence. An accolade for 1000 days of punctual work attendance is the last straw, driving her to seek an adventurous overhaul of her life. Leaving behind a cryptic note, misunderstood as a suicide letter, she escapes to the glitz and glamour of New York.
