Sky (2015)

In the vast, sun-scorched expanse of the southwestern US, Romy (Diane Kruger) and her husband, Richard (Gilles Lellouche), attempt to salvage their fraying relationship. As the holiday descends into a bitter settling of old grievances, a violent clash pushes Romy over the edge and she believes she has killed Richard in self-defense with a lamp. Fleeing the scene, she embarks on a riveting journey of self-discovery and liberation. Romy severs the chains of her previous life, a once secure existence that had morphed into an alienating prison. She embraces the uncertainty of the unknown, leaving the past behind, but not before turning herself in, only to discover that Richard is alive. Fuelled by the newfound realization that she's not a murderer, she leaves her old life altogether and strikes out on her own. Underneath the vast desert sky, Romy encounters Diego, a charismatic stranger. She steps into a fresh chapter of her life with him, finding solace and budding love in his arms. However, Diego is a man of mystery, concealing a secret that threatens to unsettle Romy's newfound stability. Unaware of the impending storm, Romy navigates through her new existence, forever under the watchful gaze of the endless sky.
