Plot

In the gritty veins of New York, we meet Bill McCabe, a man embittered by love’s betrayal and on the run from the relentless grip of the law. Fueled by spite, he swears to charm the next woman he encounters, only to coldly discard her later. Meanwhile, his more introspective younger brother, Dennis, is fervently on a mission to find their elusive father, a subversive figure who vanished into the shadows two decades ago. Driven by their individual quests, they abandon the concrete maze of New York for the unassuming landscapes of Long Island, pockets empty and minds brimming with uncertainty. In this unconventional odyssey, the McCabe brothers navigate a vibrant tapestry of characters that color their journey. Their path crosses with a solitary bar owner, whom Bill, in his twisted game of love, finds himself genuinely drawn towards. They stumble upon an enigmatic young woman grappling with epilepsy and a profound secret. They face adversaries in the form of a volatile ex-husband and a grudge-bearing sheriff. "Simple Men" is an intriguingly twisted road movie that delves deep into the masculine psyche's complex labyrinth, examining attitudes towards women and self-perception. It's a journey of two brothers, driven not just by the physical miles they traverse, but the emotional terrain they cover, as they hurtle towards their destinies, much like the material left behind when a glacier recedes.
