Plot

At the clandestine heart of the Institute for Advanced Concepts, Dr. Carl Becker and his four fellow scientists are pulling the strings of the world, manipulating realities with their unrestricted research, secretly bankrolled by the highest echelons of power. Their latest ambitious endeavor? A psychological experiment designed to convince a man that he is an extraterrestrial being. This human puppet is none other than Dr. Simon Mendelssohn, a Psychology professor with a mysterious past, chosen precisely for his obscurity. Under the pretense of offering Simon the opportunity to conduct his own research into the enigmatic realm of sensory deprivation - a subject that fascinates him despite his limited understanding - the scientists lure him to the Institute. They exploit this intrigue to facilitate the brainwashing process, reshaping Simon's reality until he believes his "mother" brought him into existence as a human, akin to crafting a toaster. To further solidify Simon's compliance, the scientists employ the charms of their seductive female associate, Dr. Cynthia Mallory, a Juliet operative with a mission. Once Simon is convinced of his otherworldly origins, he is set loose in the world, a bewildered alien among humans. However, the very human obstacle of Lisa - Simon's casual girlfriend and a Music professor at the same New York City college - looms in the path of the scientists' grand plan. As Simon navigates his new alien life, Lisa may just have the means to debunk the alien assertion and unravel the web of manipulation spun around Simon. The game is afoot in this intricate tale of deception, power, and identity.
