Plot

As the ancient city of Prague drapes itself in shadows, the chilling tale of American journalist, Gregory Moore, unfolds. Found devoid of life and dispatched to the morgue, Gregory's body eludes the icy grip of rigor mortis, his temperature an enigma to the coroner. Yet, as the world labels him dead, Gregory's consciousness remains trapped within his paralyzed form, replaying the chain of events that led him to this nightmarish fate. His life in Prague is a whirlwind of intrigue and passion, working alongside fellow journalists, the enigmatic Jessica, and the resourceful Jacques Versain. Amidst the turmoil of his impending relocation to London, Gregory invites his beloved Mira Svoboda to accompany him, their bond of love deepening in the face of the unknown. As their farewell party draws to a close, Gregory rushes to investigate the alleged death of a minister, a tip from Jacques that proves to be a cruel ruse. Upon his return, he is met with the eerie silence of an empty apartment, Mira mysteriously vanished. To this perplexing mystery is assigned the bumbling Inspector Kierkoff, whose ineptitude propels Gregory to delve into the investigation himself. What he uncovers is a sinister pattern of vanishing young women, a dark thread weaving its way through the heart of Prague. His relentless pursuit of the truth leads him to the threshold of a secretive, elite club, its wealthy members indulging in macabre rituals and otherworldly rites. As Gregory's mind races within his unmoving shell, his friend and physician grapples with the peculiarities of his 'corpse', battling against time to resuscitate him. As the story unfolds, viewers are left teetering on the edge of their seats, questioning the fate of the paralyzed journalist. Will he awaken from his living nightmare or become another casualty in the grim underbelly of Prague? With each tick of the clock, the Short Night of Glass Dolls inches closer to its haunting conclusion.
