In the whirlwind world of adolescence, Jesse, a thirteen-year-old, finds himself at odds with his teacher, the formidable Mrs. Fink, a figure of dread and disdain in his life. A peculiar encounter at an antiquated clothing store leads Jesse to a doll, an eerie doppelgänger of his much-loathed teacher. After convincing the shopkeeper to part with it, Jesse is thrust into a bizarre and terrifying reality. Upon accidentally pricking the doll's arm with a needle, Jesse is taken aback to find Mrs. Fink the next day with her arm in a sling. His alarm escalates when a mole appears on the doll's face, mirroring that of Mrs. Fink’s. The eerie parallels become undeniable when the doll, seemingly possessed, begins to speak and refuses to be discarded, always reappearing in his room. Desperate for aid, Jesse turns to Geneva's friend Sol, a well-versed practitioner of voodoo. Sol reveals that the doll has been leeching off Mrs. Fink's vitality to sustain its own unnerving existence. With Sol's guidance, Jesse, Geneva, and their friends devise a plan to cast a spell to return the doll to its sinister realm, the ominous Shadow Zone. However, the spell's success hinges on Jesse's own transformation. He must shed his negativity, the doll's primary nourishment, and cultivate a pure intent. This leads him to become more disciplined, focused in school, and responsible at home. As the full moon ascends in the night sky, Jesse finds himself at the heart of a mystic ceremony, aiming to restore Mrs. Fink and banish the troublesome doll back to the Shadow Zone. The fate of his teacher and his own future hang in the balance.
