Plot

In the heart of Boston lies Kernwell Industries, a formidable defense contractor for the United States. Tasked with deploying 3,000 peacekeepers to the Balkans under the International Peacekeeping Coalition, Kernwell is embroiled in a world where the sex trafficking of young Balkan women is rampant. Keen to rectify its less than stellar social corporate image, Kernwell aligns with the Worldwide Federation Against Forced Migration, helmed by Madeleine Harlsburg, the wife of Kernwell's CEO Tom Harlsburg. However, when Sergeant Callum Tate, one of their peacekeepers, is implicated in a scandal involving a teen-aged prostitute in Sarajevo, Kernwell's image takes a severe blow. Tate, though, insists he was endeavoring to rescue the woman and uncovers a wider conspiracy of sex trafficking. In the face of accusations, Kernwell's elite will stop at nothing to safeguard their brand, regardless of the veracity of the allegations. Parallel to this intricate web of deceit, the story unfolds of the Visinescu sisters, Lena and Vara. Hailing from Moldova, the poorest country in Europe, the sisters, along with Vara's boyfriend Alexi, dream of a promising future in London, hoping to support their family back home. Their dreams shatter when they discover that they have been sold into a white slavery ring by the very person they trusted. Amidst the chaos, the London-based non-profit organization, Speak For Freedom, tirelessly monitors these instances of sex trafficking, aiding authorities in their fight against it. Daniel Appleton, a dedicated employee, becomes embroiled in the desperate mission to rescue the Visinescu sisters. Sex Traffic is a compelling two-part drama that exposes the global business of trafficking young women into forced prostitution in European and American cities. It highlights the interconnectedness of high-stakes corporate America, international peacekeeping forces, and the harrowing world of sex trafficking. The series unveils the bitter realities of a lucrative industry, leaving viewers contemplating the depths of human greed and corruption.
