Secret in Their Eyes (2015)

Ray Kasten has just returned to the force after an absence of over a decade, and he claims to have a lead on the case that ended his career. 13 years prior, Kasten and his partner Jess Cobb responded to a murder call that ended up being Cobb's daughter. With the help of the local district attorney, Kasten opens up the case — but he finds the secrets that he uncovers hard to handle. Meanwhile, Jess Cobb is struggling to cope with the outcome of her daughter's murder in her own way. And she's willing to take the law into her own hands to get justice.
