Sea Beast (2008)

In the pitch-black abyss of the ocean, a long-dormant amphibious predator awakens, its hunger insatiable. The unsuspecting fishing community of Cedar Bay becomes the playground for this ancient creature. The Solita, a local fishing vessel, encounters a violent storm during a nocturnal expedition. Skipper Will McKenna witnesses the bizarre creature savagely assaulting crewman Joey. The incident leaves Will in financial turmoil, struggling to settle his debts with the boat's previous owner, Roy, amidst a puzzling decline in the local fish population. Simultaneously, a marine biologist, Arden James, delves into the mystery surrounding the dwindling fish. Meanwhile, an adventurous weekend awaits Will's daughter, Carly, and her friends Danny, Erin, and Drew, as they plan a secret getaway to a nearby island, using the stolen keys to her father's cottage. Their excitement is cut short when Drew becomes the first victim of the deep-sea predator, his remains discovered by the horrified Will and Arden. Oblivious to their friend's fate, Carly, Danny, and Erin proceed to the island, unknowingly entering the creature's lair. As the storm grows more intense, Cedar Bay is increasingly isolated from the outside world, and a deadly battle between man and beast looms. The creature's taste for human flesh intensifies, and the islanders fall victim to the aquatic terror one by one. Erin meets a gruesome end, and Danny is attacked by a newborn reptile. Trapped in the cottage, they are besieged by the carnivorous creatures. Back on the mainland, Will and Arden uncover the terrifying truth about the deep-sea monster after a series of lethal attacks. Armed with this knowledge, they race against time to the island, determined to rescue Carly from the impending doom. In a world where human beings are reduced to mere prey, can anyone stand against the ravenous horde of primordial troglodytes?
