Plot

In the bustling heart of New York City, Roger, a beleaguered meter maid, battles with debilitating anxiety and crippling self-esteem. His mundane life takes an unexpected twist when he enrolls in a confidential, confidence-boosting class run by the enigmatic and slick Dr. P. Assisted by his trusty sidekick, Lesher, Dr. P employs a series of unconventional and perilous techniques, promising to awaken the dormant lion within each of his students. A motley crew of classmates surround Roger, each with their own quirks and fears. Walsh longs to escape his mother's basement, Diego, a human punching bag for his overbearing wife, and Eli, the introverted soul yearning for female companionship. Their journey of transformation is not easy, but as Roger's confidence blossoms, he ascends to the top of the class and musters the courage to pursue his long-held affection, Amanda. However, Roger soon stumbles upon a sinister twist. The charismatic Dr. P is not just a mentor, but a formidable rival, his competitive spirit fuelled by the success of his star pupil. With a chilling resolve, Dr. P plots to dismantle Roger's newfound confidence, infiltrating his personal and professional life, even setting his sights on the unsuspecting Amanda. Caught in this unexpected battle of wits, Roger is faced with his biggest challenge yet. To protect Amanda and expose the true colors of Dr. P, he must rally his band of fellow misfits and master the game of manipulation. This isn't just about winning the girl of his dreams anymore; it's a struggle for self-esteem, friendship, and the courage to stand up against the very mentor who promised him confidence.
