In a chilling spectacle of cosmic conquest, Earth falls to the might of alien robots after a brief eleven-day war. These extraterrestrial automatons assert their control over humanity, confining people within their homes and implanting them with devices that alert robotic sentries of any disobedience. They rule with an iron fist, declaring an unyielding law—no one is allowed outside. The robots, claiming to be mere observers of humanity, employ humans as their enforcers. Among them is the menacing Robin Smythe, a man whose ambitions extend to claiming the grieving Kate Flynn as his wife. However, Kate's heart still aches for her missing husband, a pilot whose alleged death is proclaimed by Smythe. Her son, Sean, refuses to accept his father's supposed demise, clandestinely transmitting messages into the world beyond his confinement, yearning for any shred of truth about his father's fate. One fateful day, Sean, his friends Nathan, Alexandra, and a lone orphan boy, Connor, stumble upon a method to temporarily disable their implants using a damaged battery. Armed with a newfound freedom and a thirteen-hour window, they venture outside during curfew, driven by the hope of finding Sean's father. Their audacious defiance does not go unnoticed. Sean, surprisingly, discovers an unprecedented ability—controlling the very robots that enslave them. This remarkable power sparks curiosity within the robotic ranks, making Sean a target of great interest. Meanwhile, the ruthless Smythe is hot on their trail, using Kate as leverage to ensnare Sean.
