In the aftermath of twenty years since the legendary feats of Robin Hood against Prince John and the Sheriff of Nottingham, our gallant hero, portrayed by Sir Sean Connery, finds himself worlds away from the familiar green canopies of Sherwood Forest. Having traded his English roots for battlefields afar, Robin has been fighting valiantly as the right-hand man to Richard the Lionheart in the bloody Crusades and across France. His only tether to his once idyllic existence in Sherwood is his unwavering companion, Little John, played by Nicol Williamson. However, with the death of Richard the Lionheart, a weary and battle-scarred Robin feels the pull of his homeland and makes the decision to return to England.
