Righteous Kill (2008)

A pair of NYPD agents approaching retirement have been assigned to investigate a frightening serial killer, but their personalities provide them with a wide range of impediments. Rooster and Turk are both stubborn in their own sensibilities and too old to change. But they also have to deal with a younger pair of rival detectives who have a methodology all their own. But the internal friction will need to be put aside if they're going to take down a killer who targets criminals who are also sociopaths. The killer's strange methodology makes the cops question the morals of their own jobs.
