On the precipice of his thirtieth birthday, Arata Kaizaki finds himself riding the waves of discontent and disillusionment. Trapped in the throes of unemployment after a brief, unfulfilling stint at a company, his life appears to be a series of locked doors. That is until the opportunity for a peculiar do-over presents itself in the form of a unique research program, "ReLIFE".
Arata leaps at the chance, and with the aid of a peculiar medication, he shaves off a decade from his appearance. Suddenly, he is thrust back into the vibrant and unpredictable world of high school. Amidst the whirlwind of class activities, field trips, and the familiar symphony of teenage life, Arata finds himself cherishing every moment of this borrowed youth.
But high school is not just about textbooks and tests; it's also about the heart's first flutter. He finds himself drawn to the enigmatic Chizuru Hishiro, a fellow student whose charm permeates through the mundane. But as the clock ticks, Arata is painfully aware that his journey through this second adolescence is fleeting. His heart yearns to stay but he knows the sands of time wait for no one.
