In the heart of the Antarctic's icy expanses, a unique journey unfolds for newlyweds Peter and Chloe Harrison. Hailing from New York, Peter, a writer, and Chloe, an artist, opt for an unconventional honeymoon aboard a research vessel destined for the southernmost reaches of the world. Initially disconnected from the mission, Peter is drawn in by the allure of documenting the expedition, led by whale biologist Roger Payne, tracking the migration of right whales to their Antarctic feeding grounds. The voyage commences from Southern Argentina, with the ship's passengers primarily comprised of Payne's team, a handful of family and friends, and the unsuspecting honeymooners.
