In the shadowy depths of the Everglades, a thrilling and deadly chase unfolds. Two prisoners make their daring escape through the murky swamps, unknowingly stepping into a terrifying nightmare. Their flight for freedom triggers a manhunt led by the iron-willed Sheriff Ruth Gainey-Coates, whose past is entwined with her ex-husband, Delmar Coates, an undeterred Animal Control agent. He sets off on his own perilous pursuit of the creature, his path inevitably colliding with that of his ex-wife, Ruth, who is closing in on the escaped prisoners.
