In the secluded expanse of Western Australia, two alienated brothers, Colin (Sam Neill) and Les (Michael Caton), find themselves embroiled in a bitter feud. Each tending to their individual herds of sheep, descendants of their family's esteemed lineage, they labor in close proximity, yet their worlds couldn't be further apart. Tragedy strikes when Les's cherished ram falls victim to a fatal, uncommon disease, prompting authorities to mandate the eradication of all sheep in the valley. As Colin navigates a clandestine strategy to outmaneuver those in charge, Les chooses a path of fiery resistance. Amidst this turmoil, the question arises - can these battling brothers bury the hatchet long enough to salvage their family ties, preserve their precious flock, and restore unity in their fractured community?
