Plot

In the chilling depths of Russia, we meet Timofey, a dedicated technician and doting family man, who toils away in the shadows of a nuclear facility. His life takes a cataclysmic turn when he is exposed to a lethal 1,000 REMs of radiation due to an unfortunate accident at work. The facility director, seeking to cover his own tracks, shrouds the truth of Timofey's exposure, instead pinning the blame on him and casting him out on unpaid leave. As the harsh reality of his impending doom sinks in, Timofey crafts a desperate plan. He pilfers 100 mg of plutonium and embarks on a perilous journey to Moscow, a city pulsating with the chaotic rhythm of the black market. His goal is a heartbreaking one - sell the Pu-239 for $30,000, a small fortune to ensure his wife Marina and seven-year-old son Tolya's survival after his inevitable demise. Meanwhile, the underbelly of Moscow teems with its own troubles. Shiv, a low-level criminal, finds himself entangled in a deadly debt web. He owes a chilling $6,000 to the formidable mobster Starkov, a sum that must be paid within 72 hours. When Shiv's twisting path crosses with Timofey's desperate one, he spies a golden opportunity to not only clear his debts but also to amass a small fortune. Unbeknownst to both men, their fates are now intrinsically tied. Their journey through the murky world of crime, fraught with power plays from formidable mobsters, forms the crux of this tension-filled narrative. In this dance with danger, they must navigate treacherous waters, their lives hanging in the balance with every ticking second.
