Plot

In the fast-paced, ambition-driven world of recent college graduate Ryden Malby, life's roadmap is meticulously planned. Her academic journey, carefully plotted since high school, culminates in an English degree and a master plan to secure an assistant editor role at the esteemed publishing house, Happerman & Browning, in glittering Los Angeles. However, her path abruptly diverges when the coveted position is snatched away by her haughty classmate, Jessica Bard, thrusting Ryden back into the familiar confines of her suburban family home. With her dreams temporarily stalled, Ryden finds herself navigating the eccentricities of her family: Walter, her perpetually optimistic father with a penchant for DIY, Carmella, her pragmatic mother who skillfully manages the family's modest resources, Maureen, her unconventional grandmother, and Hunter, her peculiar younger brother with aspirations of boxcar derby fame. As Ryden grapples with the frustrations of an elusive job market, her long-time platonic confidant, Adam Davis, offers emotional support from the sidelines, his secret affections for her going unnoticed. Meanwhile, a feline-related accident introduces Ryden to her alluring next-door neighbour, the handsome Brazilian David Santiago, sparking a brief romance that sends Adam off to New York's Columbia Law School. Caught in a whirlwind of unexpected emotions and career opportunities, Ryden is invited to join Happerman & Browning, reminding her that life, much like feelings, cannot always adhere to a well-crafted plan. "Post Grad" is a charming exploration of post-collegiate life, where the search for the right job, the right guy, and a sense of direction often leads to the most unexpected destinations.
