Plot

In the heart of Portland, Oregon, a humble tavern owner finds himself ensnared in a perilous web of power and corruption as two formidable gangs vie for dominance over the local unions. As the suffocating grip of the mob closes in, the owner is strong-armed into a reluctant partnership, a choice he believes is the lesser of two evils. However, the once peaceful neighborhood tavern is soon transformed into a seedy den of vice and violence, a stark contrast to the welcoming watering hole it once was. The stakes escalate dangerously when one of the mob's ruthless goons makes a savage attempt on his young daughter. This heinous act shifts something within the tavern owner, igniting a fierce determination to resist the syndicate that has cast a dark shadow over his life. Becoming an unexpected ally in the faction opposing the mob, he embarks on a daring mission to gather crucial evidence through a hidden tape recorder. His covert operation is unmasked, putting him and his daughter in the crosshairs of mob retaliation. As the threat looms perilously close, they find unexpected salvation in the form of honest union men, who rally to their aid in this gritty struggle against the mob's menacing control.
