Embarking on a peculiar journey of the mind, Emily finds herself subjected to an experimental procedure involving probes implanted into her brain. Under the watchful eye of her psychiatrist, Dr. Fino, she's prompted to narrate her experiences in real-time as the probes are activated, one by one. Each activation triggers a unique dream - vivid, unsettling, and oddly familiar, featuring people she knows in scenarios that straddle the line between reality and fantasy. However, a gnawing sense of unease pervades each dream, prompting Emily to question whether she's caught in the throes of a nightmarish hell rather than a simple dream.
