Plot

In the effervescent aftermath of their graduation from Cambridge University in 1982, a tight-knit acting troupe of seven friends find their paths diverging, each venturing towards their individual destinies. A decade later, fate orchestrates a reunion when Peter Morton (Stephen Fry), an integral part of the group, inherits an expansive English countryside manor from his father. As the New Year's Eve confetti threatens to fall, Peter invites the gang, along with two new faces, to rekindle their camaraderie and reminisce about the joyous days of yore within the grandeur of his ancestral estate. However, the passage of time has etched its indelible mark. Long gone are the carefree college days, replaced by the complex realities of adulthood. Each friend, now weathered by life's diverse experiences, carries a baggage of changes, yet they are oblivious to the fact that Peter harbors a revelation set to stun them all. As the clock counts down to the New Year, they are thrown into a whirlpool of unexpected emotions, reflective nostalgia, and dramatic revelations. 'Peter's Friends' is a poignant exploration of friendship, time, and the secrets that often lurk beneath the surface of jovial reunions.
