In the twisted world of art and illusion, the lines between death and life blur for the renowned painter Truman York. Presumed dead in a tragic accident, York makes a shocking return from the grave, when a series of paintings, seemingly brushed by his hand, start appearing in the art market. Driven by an insatiable desire for truth, he slashes these questionable artworks at the gallery, before embarking on a quest to confront his art dealer about their origin.
As Truman navigates the murky waters of art forgery, a man, whose wife perished in the same accident that supposedly claimed Truman's life, emerges from the shadows seeking him. In a desperate bid for sanctuary, Truman turns to his wife, pleading to take refuge in her apartment. However, no sooner does he step back into the realm of the living than he is brutally murdered.
Caught in the whirlwind of this puzzling crime, the suspect reaches out to his friend Ken Malansky for aid. And in turn, Ken summons the legendary Perry Mason. As Perry steps into this intricate web of art, deception and murder, he must unravel the truth behind Truman's faked death and his untimely demise. Will he be able to piece together this deadly masterpiece or will the artist's secret die with him? This is a tantalising tale of art and intrigue where nothing is as it appears.
