Plot

Embarking on an African adventure, Clyde Beatty and his companion Grant journey into the heart of the untamed wilderness, intending to purchase a host of majestic, black-maned Numbian lions from Jo Carter. However, when a sudden, merciless fire decimates her collection of magnificent creatures, Beatty finds himself pitted against the cunning rival dealer Gorman, who is intent on driving Jo to ruin. Determined to salvage Jo's enterprise, Beatty aids her in the daring capture of a formidable adult gorilla, thwarting Gorman's nefarious plans. The saga takes an unexpected twist when Grant falls prey to the potent bite of a tsetse fly, necessitating a perilous journey through the territory of the fearsome Matabeles tribe to reach the closest hospital. Their journey turns deadly as Beatty and Grant are ensnared by the tribe and sentenced to death by Grubbs, a sinister white man exploiting the tribe's riches. However, sheltering behind the Matabele Boy King, the duo ingeniously orchestrate their escape, forcing Grubbs to abandon his ill-gotten wealth and join them in their flight. This thrilling tale of friendship, treachery, and survival charts the perils of navigating the heart of the jungle and the human spirit's relentless struggle against all odds.
