In the heart of Korea's judiciary system resides Kim Seok-Hyeon, the nation's youngest appointed criminal court judge at the tender age of 36. Revered for his razor-sharp logic and unerring rational judgments, Seok-Hyeon is not just a judicial prodigy but also a loving husband and a doting father. His life, however, is shattered when an unthinkable tragedy strikes - his beautiful wife falls prey to a brutal murder.
In the aftermath of this horrifying incident, a persistent reporter emerges from the shadows, unveiling an eerie parallel between Seok-Hyeon's life and that of Han Sang-Jun, a judge from 30 years ago. Like a mirror reflecting the past, Seok-Hyeon's life mimics Sang-Jun's in uncanny detail - the youngest appointed judge, the valedictorian from the same high school, and the chillingly similar loss of a wife and daughter to a horrific murder. The parallelism stretches further, revealing a pattern of these events recurring in precise 30-year intervals.
Simultaneously, Seok-Hyeon is confronted with the case of Sohn Ki-chul, a highly respected mathematics professor accused of murdering his wife. As he delves deeper into the case, he stumbles upon an unbelievable similarity between Sohn's life and that of Kurt Gödel, the legendary mathematician. Yet Seok-Hyeon, a staunch believer in self-determination, dismisses these parallels as mere coincidence, labeling Sohn as nothing more than a deranged academic.
However, the trajectory of Seok-Hyeon's life takes a chilling turn when an ominous phone call threatens the lives of his family. Before he can comprehend the gravity of the situation, his wife, Yoon-kyung, is found dead, and Sohn, mimicking Gödel's fate, dies of starvation. As reality descends into a labyrinth of eerie coincidences and parallels, the once-rational judge is forced to confront the question - can he escape the fate seemingly written in the stars?
