Plot

In the heart of a quaint Korean town, the life of Jae-Hyeok (Kim Nam-Gil) is woven with simplicity and love. He shares his existence with his mother (Kim Young-Ae), his sister-in-law (Moon Jeong-Hee), and his young nephew Min-Jae (Bae Gang-Yoo). Amidst this familial warmth, Jae-Hyeok nurtures a budding romance with Yeon-Joo (Kim Joo-Hyun), while also bearing the weight of his job at the local nuclear power plant. Parallel to this, Pyung-Sub (Jung Jin-Young), a fellow employee at the power plant, senses a brewing storm within their place of work. His concerns, however, fall on the deaf ears of the government. The town's tranquility is shattered when an unexpected earthquake sets off a chain reaction of explosions at the nuclear facility. Panic engulfs the nation as the scenario spirals towards catastrophe. In a desperate bid to avert a nuclear calamity, Jae-Hyeok, driven by courage and responsibility, rallies his co-workers to face the epicenter of the chaos—the very nuclear plant they once operated. The plot unwinds with a breathtaking fusion of human resilience and the haunting specter of potential disaster.
