Plot

In the vibrant, sun-soaked town of Navalgarh, Rajasthan, resides the frugal businessman Bhanwarlal and his bustling family. Amidst this tapestry of life, the young Kishanlal comes of age, tying the knot with the striking Lachchi. However, the winds of destiny blow him towards Jamnagar, where he ventures forth to expand his family business, promising a return only after five long years. As the wedding lamps still burn, to Lachchi's delightful astonishment, Kishanlal reappears, barely days into his departure. He narrates an enchanting tale of a holy sage, whose blessings promise the daily appearance of five gold coins. Bhanwarlal, blinded by the gold's gleam, welcomes his son back, dismissing any suspicions. Four years pass, and as Navalgarh’s camel race returns, Bhanwarlal’s camel clinches victory, casting a shadow of envy over the Thakur. Meanwhile, Lachchi's pregnancy blossoms into a beautiful child, but with the joy comes a chilling shock. Another Kishanlal steps into their lives, claiming to be the real husband of Lachchi. With two men, identical in every way, both claiming to be Kishanlal, the town and family find themselves in a whirlwind of confusion. In their desperation, they seek the wisdom of the king, hoping to unravel the perplexing mystery. The riddle remains: who is the real Kishanlal, and what sinister motive could the doppelganger harbour, arriving to stake his claim on Lachchi? This is the enigma that Paheli presents, woven into a rich tapestry of love, mystery, and deception.
