When an advertiser's call echoes through the city, seeking 'America's Prettiest Girl' for a photograph, Ed crafts a masterstroke. He weaves together a mosaic of countless movie stars and high society darlings, birthing a phantasmal beauty he dubs "Dawn Glory." Like wildfire, a Dawn-Glory frenzy engulfs the nation, and Loretta, under the transformative magic of cosmetics and chic attire, emerges as the living incarnation of this fabricated goddess.
Carrying a torch for "Bingo" Russell, a dashing aviator known to her only through newspaper images, Loretta seizes the opportunity to masquerade as Dawn Glory, hoping it will lead her into Russell's arms. As she steps into the limelight and crosses paths with Russell, the plot thickens, tumbling headlong into a whirlwind of unexpected twists and turns.
