Plot

In the heart-stirring drama "Outrage" (2003), Lainie Wheeler is a devoted mother to her two daughters, left alone when her husband abandons them for the ascetic life of a Thai monastery. With this emotional blow, she drifts away from her bustling career in TV production, finding a new calling in the tender care of terminal patients. This shift in vocation intensifies when she loses a close friend in the same hospice. Amidst this turmoil, she finds a flicker of happiness in Matt Harper, who not only captures her heart but also bonds with her children. However, shadows lurk in every corner, and Lainie succumbs to a pill addiction, leading to a devastating accident that strips her of her children's custody and demands her confinement in a long-term therapeutic institution. Once free, her journey takes another turn when a friend steers her back to the world of TV production. This twist of fate introduces her to Harry Brewer, a shining baseball star whose charm masks his infidelity. As their relationship spirals out of control, Lainie is driven to a point of no return. In the wake of a shocking crime, Detective Webster steps into the fray to unravel the truth. With every piece of evidence revealing more of Lainie's complex life, viewers are left wondering: how far can a woman be pushed before she crosses the line? Experience the emotional rollercoaster of "Outrage" and find out.
