In a haze of frustration, Deacon finds himself in a karaoke bar where he stumbles upon Maggie Stanley, a humble housewife who's more comfortable wielding a whisk than a microphone. Yet, it's her breathtaking voice that captures Deacon's attention. With a little persuasion, Maggie agrees to lend her voice for what she assumes is a simple demo tape.
Unbeknownst to Sunni and Maggie, the latter's voice becomes the secret ingredient in the album, catapulting Sunni to dizzying heights of fame. As the album skyrockets up the charts, the public craves a live performance, escalating "Sunni Mania" to fever pitch. However, brewing beneath this success is a tempest of deceit. With Maggie slowly piecing together the truth about her 'demo tape' and the pressure to maintain the farce intensifying, the intricate web of lies threatens to unravel, turning this triumphant melody into a discordant symphony.
