Plot

In the politically volatile year of 1955, beneath the simmering tensions between Nasser's Egypt and France, a suave and debonair French spy, Hubert Bonisseur de la Bath, better known as OSS 117, is thrust into Cairo's labyrinth of espionage. The sudden disappearance of his close friend and fellow agent, Jack Jefferson, summons him to the enigmatic city, where he dons the guise of a humble poultry farmer amidst the bustling urban sprawl. However, beneath the mundane facade of chicken ranching, Hubert is embroiled in an intricate game of cat-and-mouse. His mission - to unearth the truth behind Jefferson's vanishing, disrupt the insidious plans of lingering Nazi operatives, and quell a brewing fundamentalist rebellion, all while maintaining his cover and dealing with the unfamiliar local customs. His only ally in this high-stakes operation is the strikingly beautiful Larmina, his assistant and confidante. As Hubert navigates through the treacherous waters of Cairo, his smug self-assuredness and obliviousness to cultural nuances often place him on a razor's edge between survival and doom. One question lingers ominously in Cairo's air - is Hubert the ingenious operative everyone believes him to be, or is he simply an imbecile playing a dangerous game? Handsomely cloaked in an homage to classic spy films, "OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies" catapults viewers into a whirlwind of suspense, intrigue, and unexpected humor. This narrative is a thrilling ride that tests the mettle of one man against a city teeming with secrets, serving as a fascinating snapshot of a time when the world was balanced precariously on the brink of monumental change.
