Nicky Beaton, a successful New Yorker, and her childhood best friend Simone Cole share a deep bond rooted in their shared memories of growing up in the quaint town of Marsden. Despite their geographical separation, they anticipate a nostalgic reunion in their hometown to celebrate both Thanksgiving and Christmas. But as the holiday season unfolds, their expectations are turned upside down. Simone, a dedicated florist and single mother, is on the cusp of her second marriage to her high school acquaintance, Jeremy Winters. However, the imminent arrival of Jeremy's domineering mother, Miriam, and the unexpected distance growing between herself, Jeremy, and her son Anthony, shake her to the core.
