In the stark world of law enforcement, Toni Stroud (Loughlin), a trainee police officer, shines bright, earning straight A's on her first assessment. Her world, however, takes a devastating turn when a fellow officer, ousted by his wife, seeks refuge at her home. Trusting in her comrade's integrity, she offers him her couch for the night. Unfortunately, this act of kindness is repaid with a horrendous act of violation; he rapes her while she sleeps. Toni's battle for justice begins when another woman accuses the same officer of rape.
