Plot

In the icy heart of Alaska, Forrest Taft (Steven Seagal) serves as an environmental agent for Aegis Oil Company, a corporation clouded by corruption under the iron fist of its ruthless C.E.O., Michael Jennings (Sir Michael Caine). Driven by greed, Jennings is a figure of deceit who prioritizes profit over the planet, turning a blind eye to the destruction caused by oil spills, while maintaining a false public image of environmental care. The epicenter of his ambition is the nearly completed AEGIS-1, a state-of-the-art oil rig. A ticking clock threatens his venture - if the rig isn't operational in thirteen days, the land rights revert back to the Eskimos and the Alaskan Government. As the deadline looms, Jennings discovers a threat close to home. Taft's best friend, Hugh Palmer (Richard Hamilton), possesses a computer disk housing damning evidence of defective equipment on AEGIS-1. In a desperate bid to suppress the truth, Jennings unleashes his henchmen, setting off a bloody chain of events. When Taft intervenes, he too becomes a target. His salvation comes in the form of an Eskimo woman, Masu (Joan Chen), who, alongside her tribal chief father Silook (Chief Irvin Brink), rescues Taft from the jaws of death. Guided by Masu, Taft embarks on a perilous journey through the untamed Alaskan wilderness. His mission: to reach AEGIS-1 and eradicate it before it annihilates the surrounding forest, triggering an environmental catastrophe. As the clock ticks down, Taft's survival skills and determination are put to the ultimate test in this high-stakes race against time.
