Ombis: Alien Invasion (2013)

In the tranquil remnants of Metzburgh, a once-thriving industrial town now surrendered to serenity after the fall of the Metzburgh Grain, life is as peaceful as can be. The humdrum existence of the villagers, including the young Mark Lowe (Jason John Beebe) and his ex-girlfriend Lucy Greenheart (Sarah Manzella), is abruptly shattered when a meteorite crashes into their forgotten hamlet. Outcast and former grain silo employee, Glen (Robert Bozek), stumbles upon this fiery interstellar trespasser. Unwittingly, he ventures too close, and a nefarious chemical known as Ombis spews from the meteorite, infecting him and transforming his insides into a gruesome, slimy substance. Unable to contain the grotesque change within him, Glen crosses paths with Mark and Lucy, who, horrified, rush him to the town's sole medical hope, Doctor D (Deborah Manzella). Their shocking discovery is brought to the attention of local Sheriff Thomas Brackett (Richard Satterwhite), who is enjoying a romantic evening with the charming waitress Daisy (Kathy Murphy). Despite the interruption, the sheriff finds Mark's story hard to digest. Yet, when Mark uncovers another chilling revelation - the meteorite wasn't the sole alien intruder - the quiet town plunges further into chaos. As the viral infection spreads, transmuting the townsfolk into abnormal creatures, a specialized containment team descends upon Metzburgh, seeking to restore order and contain the plague. In the face of this alien onslaught, the town's simple, rustic life gives way to a desperate struggle for survival. The once peaceful residents of Metzburgh are thrown into an extraordinary battle, where they must confront not only the alien invasion but also the horrifying mutations within their own kin.
