In the heart of Italy, Russian poet Andrei Gorchakov embarks on a journey of discovery, guided by the insightful Eugenia who serves not only as his translator but as his bridge to understanding the life of an 18th-century Russian composer. Their paths cross with Domenico, an eccentric who, in an effort to shield his family from the world's corruption, held them captive within the confines of his home for seven long years. This bizarre act leaves a profound impact on Andrei, pulling him towards the madness of Domenico. In a mesmerizing dance of dreams and reality, Andrei's longing for his distant wife and homeland becomes entangled with his complex feelings for Eugenia and the allure of Italy. Simultaneously, his newfound connection with Domenico stirs a whirlwind of emotions within him.
