No Way Out (2015)

Once an undercover cop primed to dismantle Latin America's largest drug cartel, Paraguayan native Juan de los Santos now battles an internal war with no end in sight. A chilling night of loss saw his family cruelly taken from him, along with his will to live. Juan, forever marked by that night, carries two bullets within him - one nestled near his heart, the other lodged in his brain, birthing a curse of sporadic amnesia. Plagued by sleepless nights and haunted by the ghostly images of his past, Juan immerses himself in any work he can find, eventually landing a job as a dishwasher in a seemingly glamorous nightclub. However, beneath the nightclub's glitzy veneer lies a bubbling cauldron of chaos. Club Velvet quickly becomes the nerve center for a lethal new narcotic — a cocktail of cocaine and ecstasy — its spread northwards entwined with a thriving human trafficking operation and a wrathful mafia. Angela, a captive in this insidious scheme, crosses paths with Juan, igniting a desperate bid for survival. As Juan attempts to extract Angela from the jaws of her grim fate, the mafia sets its sights on them, determined to deliver a brutal lesson. In the midst of this escalating turmoil, Juan encounters Maria and Noah, two streetwise kids from the perilous Mercado Cuatro. An inexplicable bond forms between them, as Juan sees a glimmer of the life he was denied. The children, drawn to Juan and Angela, embark on a whirlwind adventure, laden with unforeseeable twists at every turn. In the face of insurmountable odds, Juan's old friend Martin, another former undercover cop, steps in to aid his comrade. Their journey comes full circle as the film opens with the two friends reminiscing in the very location destined to be their final resting place.
