Night of the Living Deb (2015)

On the eve of the Fourth of July, in the vibrant city of Portland, Maine, Deb Clarington, a hopeful broadcast journalist with an endearing awkwardness, finds herself indulging in a night out with her best friend Ruby. What starts as a harmless flirtation with a strikingly handsome stranger soon spirals into a tipsy whirl of forgotten memories. The morning brings with it a wave of unease as Deb wakes up in the stranger's apartment, with neither of them able to recall the series of events that led them there. Their awkward morning-after quickly turns into a chilling nightmare as they step outside to face what seems like an improbable reality – a full-scale zombie apocalypse is in progress. The handsome stranger is revealed to be Ryan Waverly, the scion of the affluent Waverly family, the primary suppliers of water to the town. As the city plunges into chaos, Deb's initial plan of fleeing to her mother's is thwarted by Ryan, who persuades her to seek refuge in his family's lavish mansion instead. Amid the pandemonium, they must rally with Ryan's pompous brother Chaz and his girlfriend Stacy to escape the town. Deb soon uncovers a horrifying secret linking the outbreak to Ryan’s father Frank and the town's Governor. In a world gone mad, the mismatched duo quickly learns that the fear of placing your life in someone else's hands is only surpassed by the terror of trusting them with your heart. As they navigate their way through this new world, they must grapple with their budding feelings for each other, all while trying to survive the growing horde of the undead. Will love be enough for them to escape the night of the living dead?
