Plot
In the turbulent landscape of high school, three adolescent boys, Yong-ju, Gi-Woong, and Gi-Taek, who once reveled in middle school camaraderie, find their bonds fraying. Yong-ju and Gi-Taek continue to share their friendship, but Gi-Woong, now a jjang – a term for the most formidable fighter in school, finds himself drawn into the influential Seong-jin's gang, his parents' power casting a long shadow over the school corridors.
Beneath the façade of normalcy, Yong-ju bears the weight of not only his financially strained single mother's expectations to secure a seat in a reputable university but also his concern for Gi-Taek, an avid manhwa enthusiast who falls prey to Seong-jin's ruthless bullying.
An unexpected alliance blossoms between Yong-ju and Gi-Woong as the latter seeks to disentangle himself from Seong-jin's clasp. This newfound friendship is put to the test when Gi-Taek discovers Yong-ju's secret - his homosexuality, and his years-long affection for Gi-Woong. In a heartbreaking betrayal, Gi-Taek aligns himself with Seong-jin's gang, casting Yong-ju into the depths of ostracization, his secret exposed for all to see. "Night Flight" is a poignant exploration of friendship, love, and the harsh realities of adolescence, set against the backdrop of an unforgiving high school hierarchy.
