Plot

In the frost-bitten embrace of dawn, police discover a chilling tableau of eight lifeless bodies riddled with bullets near a rustic farmhouse. Among the carnage, they find a wounded man, Alan White (played by Sir John Hurt), a father burdened by the imminent fate of his daughter who is on the precipice of a heart transplant. The previous night, his estranged son, Danny (Nick Moran), mysteriously surfaces bearing not only the scars of his wounds but also a tale of a botched kidnapping. Absent from Alan's life for eight years, Danny bargains with his father's life, proposing a macabre pact. If Alan consents to masquerade as a kidnap victim, leading to his inevitable death, Danny will sacrifice his heart for his sister's life-saving transplant. However, if Alan denies, Danny and his novice accomplices - the titular "new blood" entangled in the kidnapping - will meet a gruesome end. As Alan grapples with this sinister proposition, a shroud of uncertainty descends. What decision will Alan make, and what truly lies beneath the surface of this blood-soaked narrative?
