Plot

In the throes of the disquieting metamorphosis from hipster to yuppie, Neil and Sarah, a once vibrant couple, now find themselves caught in the mundane web of thirtysomething married life. Their once passionate conversations about beloved bands have been replaced by the banality of discussing gift cards. Exasperated, they question the universal quandary that plagues all married couples of their age: How did they end up here? In a spirited attempt to reignite the spark that once defined them, Neil and Sarah embark on a journey that takes them back to their former stomping grounds, a trendy enclave within the heart of Los Angeles. As the taste of familiar cocktails stirs up a cascade of nostalgia, they find themselves drawn back into the apartment they once shared, squatting illegally in the echoes of their vivacious twenty-something lives. In the midst of their rebellion against the inevitability of adulthood, they throw a raucous housewarming party, a wild homage to their youth. However, the consequences of their actions soon catch up with them, forcing Neil and Sarah to tap into their newfound adult resources. 'Nesting' is a captivating exploration of love, age, and the eternal struggle of preserving one's youthful spirit in the face of growing responsibilities.
