Plot

In the bustling world of Neptune Swimwear Company, we meet dynamic duo Joe Backett and Eve Barrett, the latter shining as the chief designer and swimmer model. Their lives are further enlivened by Eve's endearingly scatterbrained, man-hungry sister Betty Barrett, who is also part of their team. Love is in the air as Joe harbors deep feelings for Eve, inspiring the idea of an underwater spectacle for a visiting South American polo team led by captivating José O'Rourke. In a comedic twist of fate, Betty, starry-eyed and inexperienced, ventures to the polo field in search of romance. She crosses paths with Jack Spratt – the local masseur for the polo teams, also a stranger to love. Mistaking him for José, she falls head over heels. Jack, convinced she'd never look twice at a man like him, plays along with the charade, leading to a whirlwind romance. Concerned for her sister's heart, Eve steps in, forbidding the real José from pursuing Betty. José, having never met Betty, agrees – but only if Eve will accompany him instead. This unexpected proposition sparks a love at first sight for José, complicating things further as Eve battles her growing feelings for him. Meanwhile, Joe is determined to eliminate José as a rival for Eve’s affections, while a local mobster sees an opportunity for easy money if José fails to appear at the upcoming polo match. As Betty and Jack's relationship deepens, and with Eve and José caught in a romantic tug-of-war, a web of love, confusion, and high stakes unravels, promising a lively spectacle that is as unpredictable as love itself.
