Plot

In the remote, wrestling-obsessed village of Mutharamkunnu, a new post-master named Dilip Kumar finds himself in a whirlwind of unexpected events and engaging village life. Upon his relocation, he is immediately captivated by the lively local residents, their passion for wrestling, and the daunting presence of Kuttan Pillai - a retired wrestler of immense pride. However, his life takes an enchanting turn when he falls head over heels for Pillai's vibrant daughter, Amminikutty. With Amminikutty's heart reserved for her idol, the Malayalam superstar Mammooty, Dilip concocts a ruse - posing as the star's close friend. He intercepts Amminikutty's fan-mails, artfully narrates tales of their friendship, and even corresponds with her under the guise of the admired superstar. His charming deception woos Ammu, but it's only a part of his challenges. In a village where wrestling reigns supreme, love is not the only battlefield. Dilip's journey takes a thrilling turn when Amminikutty discovers his deception, and the news travels across the village like wildfire, reaching her enraged father and his cunning rival, Dev Anand. Cornered, Dilip is tasked with an impossible mission - to wrestle one of Pillai's star wrestlers, the mountainous Dara Singh, to earn Ammu's hand in marriage. The challenge is daunting, for Dilip is no wrestler. But will love empower him to triumph? Mutharamkunnu P.O. is a compelling blend of humor, romance, and wrestling, with an array of hilarious moments, charming love story, and the vibrant village life. The film showcases Sreenivasan's early works in an enjoyable and well-paced narrative, promising a captivating cinematic experience.
