Plot

In an enchanting blend of London's cosmopolitan charm and Punjab's rustic traditions, Mubarakan introduces us to identical twins, Karan and Charan, who are as divergent in personalities as they are similar in looks. Orphaned in infancy, the twins are raised in completely different environments by their extended family; Karan grows up in the bustling heart of London under the care of his vibrant aunt Jetto, while Charan experiences a traditional upbringing in Punjab, India, with his uncle Baljeet. Karan, street-smart and flamboyant, falls in love with Sweety amidst the hustle and bustle of London, while Charan, simple and earnest, harbours feelings for Nafisa in the serene landscapes of Punjab. However, their love lives are complicated when the matchmaking efforts of their well-meaning families entangle them in a web of prospective brides and societal expectations. When Jetto arranges for Karan to wed Binkle, the daughter of a wealthy family friend, Karan cleverly diverts the proposal to Charan. The predicament escalates when their bachelor uncle Kartar Singh, caught in a whirlpool of family loyalties, tries to untangle the complicated love triangle, inadvertently creating a rift between Jetto and Baljeet. As the story unfolds, we witness the hilarious chaos and heartfelt moments that ensue as Karan and Charan navigate their way through this comedy of errors. Amidst the lively Punjabi celebrations and the elegant London soirées, the twins must find a way to follow their hearts, while keeping their family united. Mubarakan is a vibrant tapestry of love, laughter, and family ties, set against the backdrop of two distinct cultures.
