Plot

When the echelons of Heartstrings Press threaten to discard the upcoming romance novel of Michael Rothchild (Corey Sevier), a once-renowned author now perceived as an ill-mannered, washed-up novelist, it's junior editor Dori Shephard (Charlotte Sullivan) who steps into the fray. Brimming with ambition, Dori convinces the executives to let her take the reins as lead editor, naively believing she can breathe new life into Michael's languishing career. However, Dori's dream job swiftly morphs into a waking nightmare. Michael, far from the romantic hero she'd envisaged, is an obtuse, uncooperative man plagued by writer's block and a penchant for one-night stands. The tension mounts further when Dori breaks the harsh reality to Michael: he's on the brink of being dropped from Heartstrings Press. With no desire to see his career end, Michael grudgingly agrees to a 30-day collaboration with Dori. Caught in the whirlwind of Michael's chaotic world, Dori's personal life starts to unravel. Her plans to marry her perfect-match fiancé, Philip (Preston Vanderslice), are thrown into disarray as work looms like an insurmountable obstacle in their relationship. As Philip's patience dwindles and Dori struggles with the paradox of Michael's life, she finds herself on a ticking clock. In the heart of this emotional maelstrom, Dori must grapple with the true meaning of love, before time runs out. Can she salvage her relationship, save Michael's career, and find the balance before her own life story spirals into an unwelcome plot twist? In 'Mr. Write', the lines between love, life, and literature blur in a captivating dance of fate, passion, and the power of words.
